- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆What an absolute joke of an organization. There is a homeless couple (violent and aggressive if people don't give them money) in the Heights with two small children. People have been calling CPS and reporting them, but their answer is that the couple has the right to be homeless if they want and that everyone can make their own life choices. So, what about the children? Do they have any choices? We were all told that unless we witness the parents getting high, see abuse or see the kids panhandling (we have seen the kids panhandling, but falls on deaf ears), there is nothing they can do. When asked about the kids nutritional or hygiene needs, again, "life choices". Life choices of the lowlife, junkie parents, NOT THE CHILDREN!! The parents went so far as to accuse a neighbor of robbing them because she refused to give them money anymore. She even tried to locate relatives for the kids. Correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't that be CPS's job? If you serve children, why are you not even looking into this? How do you people sleep at night hiding behind all of your red tape fantasies?By Kristin Wesley, June 10, 2017
